I've constantly been attracted to bamboo. Also prior to I started fly angling, I was fascinated with the craftsmanship of the poles and the tradition surrounding them. When I fish with them, I seem like I remain in a black as well as white picture. There is a link to the past and I really feel requireded to be using wool and tweed. I actually need to get some tweed.
One of my preferred aspects of a bamboo rod is that you really feel so a lot a lot more connected to the fish. You can feel the battle right down in the take care of. Every run and every head shake are sent clearly to the fibers. It feels even more like an expansion of your arm than a fly rod. I could understand why many bamboo pole fishers describe it as active. This became much more pronounced when I took my 9 ft 5wt graphite rod. It's a slower activity rod, however male did I feel disconnected from that broomstick!
