When I first started fly fishing, I got a 9 foot 5wt, a normal trout pole work equine. I fished it for some time but didn't have as much fun angling for the smaller sized fish that populated the creeks near my property. So I purchased a 3 wt. rod. This was the beginning of the obsession. Similar to choosing a golf club for the chance, you have you choose a fly rod for the angling conditions. This made my angling experience a lot better!
A number of years have passed and I'm still enhancing my collection. Spey poles, switch rods, Tenkara poles just to name a few. Which's just the graphite collection. I still have glass as well as bamboo to expand into.
